Never new I was so shy

I never new that I was so shy until today. We took Steve's grandpa to church (the one that he goes to is German apostolic-they are pretty conservative) and because they are very friendly ,they all come over and greet you. I sure missed my talkative sister in laws, they normally do most of the talking. My main concern was that the men sit on one half of the church and the women on the other and I dreaded the idea of sitting by myself. Fortunately, someone asked me to sit by them and I began to feel much better.

As I was sitting there I began to realize that I don't have any friends here in Salem-No, I am not a friendless person. I have plenty to go around,I just don't have any that live close. (Maybe it is because I am a hermit or because I am way to attached to my adorable husband).

I guess I have to make more of an effort to make some now!

Winco no more

I decided to try to compare shopping at Winco to shopping at the local Fred Meyer and decided I would take Fred Meyer over Winco any day. Winco's prices were cheaper but, their customer service was lacking. The lines were long and ridiculous, one customer even cut in front of me thankfully, one kind lady with a ton of groceries let me go in front of her. (I hate to say it but, 95% of her groceries were processed foods the only veggie was canned tomatoes-which barely counts as a vegetable).Oh well, I guess I am stuck walking to Fred Meyer even if it is slightly more expensive.

I have decided to make the bread

So I decided to try the bread that Elisabeth Snider made.

I had to let mine rise on the counter because I had meatloaf in the oven.
It turned out really nice.

Yum! The baby thanks you Elisabeth!
